safe community with an outstanding public school system and
a private Catholic school. We are privileged to have
Hastings college, a premier arts college along with Central
Community College that provide a top notch education.
We are a very strong industrial City that offers great
places to eat, shop, and be entertained.
The City of
Hastings owns and operates all of our utilities and provides
some of the lowest and most reliable utility rates in the
nation. This has allowed us to be proactive and
promote economic development. This community is
progressively growing and working toward providing all of
the amenities for our citizens and guests to be able to shop
